AI platforms for tourism and traffic management launched in Spain

Passporter, a Madrid‑based technology firm, announced on 11 June 2026 its AI‑driven tourism “partner platform” for governments, national tourism offices and promotion bodies. The suite integrates virtual assistants, predictive analytics and big‑data tools while keeping data under the users’ control, and is already operating in more than 85 international destinations. Features include real‑time personalized itineraries, demand forecasting, SEO optimisation and traffic distribution to mitigate seasonality.

In the Valencian Community, a pilot of the EU‑funded DS4MM (Data Space for Mobility Models Integration) project is testing a new massive‑data mobility platform in Valencia, Castellón, Elche and Benidorm. Backed by an initial €6 million investment, the system seeks to anticipate traffic jams, improve low‑emission zones and provide municipalities with advanced tools for traffic planning, potentially affecting over 2.8 million annual users in the four cities.
