Artificial intelligence is being deployed to monitor and protect digital reputations. AI tools can scan thousands of online mentions across search engines, social media, news sites and forums in seconds, providing real‑time alerts, sentiment analysis and early‑crisis detection. This enables businesses to move from reactive to proactive reputation strategies, improve decision‑making and maintain brand trust.

In the healthcare sector, patient reviews have become a key factor in AI‑driven search results. Tools such as ChatGPT, Google AI Overviews and Perplexity now summarise provider information before consumers reach a website. Detailed, recent and consistently structured reviews help AI systems generate favourable summaries, while low‑rated or poorly documented practices risk being filtered out of consideration entirely. Over half of surveyed patients said they avoided doctors based on online reviews, and three‑quarters would not book with providers rated below four stars.

Both articles highlight that reputation management is shifting from a post‑acquisition activity to a visibility function, where AI‑readable review signals directly influence discovery and brand perception across industries.
