AI startups Aligator and Maven Robotics secure new funding

Aligator, a Doha-based startup, has closed a USD 1.2 million seed funding round to develop agentic AI for the public relations industry. The round was led by Qatar Development Bank and Next Ventures, with participation from private investors. The company’s technology focuses on autonomous AI agents designed to handle repetitive PR tasks, such as drafting press materials, monitoring media, and managing outreach workflows.

In a separate development, Maven Robotics has secured investment from Shorooq and Presight through the Presight–Shorooq AI and Bedaya Funds. Based in Santa Clara, California, Maven Robotics develops general-purpose intelligent robots for logistics and manufacturing, specifically targeting workflows like palletizing and tote handling. The company aims to scale its autonomous systems for warehouse automation.
