AI Startups June and WindBorne Secure $23.7M Funding for Automation and Weather Forecasting
June, a U.S. AI‑deployment startup, announced a $20 million pre‑seed round led by Salesforce founder Marc Benioff’s Time Ventures, with participation from Dell founder Michael Dell, Box founder Aaron Levie and CrowdStrike founder George Kurtz. The company’s platform automates the integration of AI models into enterprise systems such as Salesforce, ServiceNow and Workday, aiming to replace costly engineering effort. June cited a successful pilot with U.S. mortgage lender CMG, where the software mapped deployment steps and delivered functional AI agents without the need for a large engineering team.
Separately, Silicon Valley‑based WindBorne Systems closed a $37 million Series B round to expand its AI‑powered high‑altitude weather balloons. The funding will be used to increase the fleet of sensor‑equipped balloons, improve AI forecasting models and broaden service coverage for sectors like agriculture, aviation and disaster management. The company highlighted potential applications in Taiwan for precision farming and enhanced flood‑response capabilities.
