AI startups VAST and Violoop secure significant new funding
AI startups VAST and Violoop have secured significant funding rounds to advance specialized artificial intelligence technologies.
VAST, an AI 3D company, announced it has raised approximately 5 billion yuan in total funding over the last six months. Its latest B and B+ rounds, totaling 3 billion yuan, included investors such as Matrix Partners China, Perfect World, and 37 Interactive Entertainment. VAST’s technology, specifically its Tripo product, enables the generation of 3D models from text or images. The company recently released the Tripo P2.0 Preview, which focuses on quad-mesh topology to make generated models more compatible with professional gaming and animation workflows.
Violoop has completed an angel and Pre-A round of financing worth hundreds of millions of yuan. Investors include Lenovo Capital, CICC, and BlueRun Ventures. Violoop is developing a personal AI agent designed to learn a user’s specific work habits and workflows. Unlike traditional models that rely on software APIs, Violoop’s hardware-based approach uses a desktop device to observe screen activity and interact with existing software via keyboard and mouse inputs, aiming to create a continuous, personalized context for the AI agent.
