Ai Suzuki shoots 3-under at Nitori Ladies Golf Tournament

The Nitori Ladies Golf Tournament commenced at the Kushiro Country Club Tsurui Higashi Course in Hokkaido. On the opening day, Ai Suzuki recorded a 3-under-par 69, including five birdies, to maintain a strong start in her pursuit of her 23rd career title.

During her round, Suzuki played alongside South Korean amateur Oh Su-min, who impressed with significant driving distance. Suzuki noted that the 17-year-old’s distance was overwhelming, remarking that she felt left behind by approximately 70 yards at certain points. Despite the distance gap, Suzuki utilized her experience to navigate the narrow fairways and overcome mid-round frustrations.

In the preceding pro-am event, Rin Yoshida expressed confidence as she seeks her second consecutive victory following her win at the CAT Ladies. Yoshida noted a positive family atmosphere, mentioning that her sister, Yuri Yoshida, recently achieved a career-best second-place finish on the US tour.
