AI Synthesis releases AI250 BXR Eurorack module

AI Synthesis, a Portland-based company founded by Abraham Ingle, has released the AI250 BXR, a new Eurorack module. The device is inspired by vintage nuclear test equipment, specifically the Boxcar Averagers used to analyze fast signals, such as the SR-235 analog processor from the SR200 NIM series.

The AI250 BXR functions as an audio mangler, CV generator, and voltage-controlled oscillator (VCO). It is the company’s first digital module, built on the Daisy Patch platform using the Daisy Seed. The module features an internal VCO with 11 CV-selectable wave shapes and allows users to process audio or CV signals against internal or external signals.

Designed for ease of use, the 14HP module avoids menu diving, instead utilizing knobs for mathematical comparators, distortion, and dry/wet blending. The product is available in several formats, including built units, kits, and PCB/panel options.
