Research published in AI & Society suggests a phenomenon termed ‘robotoid humanity,’ where human behavior shifts to mimic machines during interaction. Led by Selcen Ozturkcan of Linnaeus University, the study explores how the bidirectional influence between humans and anthropomorphized social robots or chatbots causes users to adapt their communication styles to better facilitate dialogue with AI.

Separately, reports indicate that AI companies such as OpenAI and Anthropic are utilizing large quantities of Apple Mac mini and Mac Studio hardware for reinforcement learning (RL). These machines serve as training environments for computer agents to practice navigating desktop interfaces. While OpenAI reportedly purchased tens of thousands of units and Anthropic utilizes AWS capacity, neither company nor Apple has officially confirmed specific purchase volumes.
