Ai Tominaga cast in new medical drama ‘Analog Nurse’

Model and actress Ai Tominaga has been cast in the upcoming TV Asahi drama ‘Analog Nurse: What is Digital!?’ (Analog Nurse ~Digital tte nannanda yo!?~), set to premiere on October 22. The series stars Nao Matsushita as Akari Nasuda, a freelance nurse who relies on intuition and physical senses to save patients, even when digital systems fail.

Tominaga will play Kayo Manrikoji, the Digital Promotion Director at Momoi Medical Center. As a staunch rationalist, Manrikoji prioritizes AI, data, and algorithms to optimize hospital operations, including patient management and surgical procedures. The drama explores the conflict between Manrikoji’s digital transformation (DX) approach and Nasuda’s analog methods, despite both characters sharing a fundamental goal of protecting medical care.

The production is a collaboration between screenwriter Miho Nakazono and the creative team behind ‘Doctor-X’. Other cast members include Kenjiro Tsuda, Nanoka Hara, Yuki Inoue, Yuna Taira, Noriko Eguchi, and Hideki Takahashi.
