AI tools enable amateur developers to create popular mobile sports games
Artificial intelligence is increasingly being used by amateur developers to create successful mobile sports games. Using Claude Code, an advanced AI coding assistant, developers are producing titles that achieve significant popularity.
One example is 38-0-0, a game created in a single night by programmer Deniz Sancar despite having no prior coding experience. The game reached the top of the UK App Store charts in June. Another developer, Maxence Pigne, used the same AI tool to create Destiny Eleven, a football career simulator. The game reached over one million players by late July, with users creating 14 million different professional career paths.
