AI translation earbuds see increased competition from Edifier and Timekettle

The market for AI-powered translation earbuds is experiencing rapid expansion and intensifying competition. Major audio brands and low-cost manufacturers are increasingly integrating translation features into standard Bluetooth headphones, shifting the industry landscape.

Edifier has introduced the EvoBuds Pro, which features dual coaxial moving coil drivers, -48dB active noise cancellation, and AI voice translation capabilities. The device utilizes a Bluetooth 6.0 chip, supports LDAC and SBC encoding, and offers up to 36 hours of battery life with its charging case. It includes specialized modes for real-time translation to assist with international communication.

In the professional segment, Timekettle is positioning its W4Pro model as a specialized tool for cross-linguistic communication rather than a general-purpose audio device. Unlike standard AI earbuds that may struggle in noisy environments, the W4Pro utilizes a three-microphone pickup solution and proprietary vector noise reduction algorithms to maintain high recognition accuracy in environments up to 85dB. The device runs on the self-developed Babel OS, supporting 52 languages and 106 accents, aiming to serve professional needs such as foreign trade and international forums.
