AI undressing apps pose threat to minors through deepfakes
Artificial intelligence undressing applications are increasingly being used to create sexualized deepfake images from ordinary photographs. These tools allow users to digitally strip individuals or place them in sexualized situations with minimal technical effort and often without consent.
Experts, including researchers from the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT), warn that these synthetic images can cause significant psychological and social harm, particularly when they target minors. The ease of access to such software, combined with slow deletion processes and legal limitations, presents a growing threat. Recent cases involving AI services like Grok have highlighted how quickly these deceptive images can spread through social networks and communities.
