AI usage rates double among individuals and enterprises

Recent data regarding artificial intelligence usage among individuals and enterprises shows a significant increase in adoption. For enterprises with 10 or more employees, the AI usage rate reached 14.0%, with the highest concentration in telecommunications, programming, and information activities at 63.7%. The primary business application for AI is currently marketing or sales.

In terms of development, 46.5% of enterprises use AI systems developed by external providers, while 32.1% develop these technologies using their own employees. Approximately 16.6% of AI-using enterprises process personal data, including information such as gender, age, profession, education, address, and facial images.

Despite interest, barriers to adoption remain. Among enterprises considering future AI use, the most significant obstacle is a lack of expertise (72.3%), followed by legal uncertainties regarding liability (66.4%) and concerns over data protection and privacy violations (65.4%).
