AI video platforms VideoGen and Buzzy expand production capabilities

The AI video production sector is seeing increased activity from specialized platforms. VideoGen, an AI video platform that utilizes structured workflows to create editable, copyright-free videos, has announced a $3.3 million seed funding round. The round includes participation from Y Combinator, Rebel Fund, Lobster Capital, and Stretford End Capital, among others. VideoGen reported surpassing 5 million users across more than 190 countries and intends to use the capital to scale its team and brand.

Simultaneously, Buzzy has introduced Seedance 2.5, a video generator designed to streamline the transition from initial idea to finished project within a single workspace. The platform aims to solve the bottleneck of switching between different tools for scripting, image generation, and editing. Buzzy’s workflow utilizes an ‘Infinite Canvas’ and a 9 Square Grid Storyboard to maintain character and scene consistency across 4K resolution clips of up to 30 seconds.
