AIADMK leader Palaniswami leads statewide protests in Tamil Nadu

AIADMK General Secretary Edappadi K. Palaniswami is leading statewide protests across Tamil Nadu to demand a complete waiver of crop loans for farmers. A significant demonstration is scheduled to take place at the Thanjavur Head Post Office, a location chosen for its importance within the Cauvery delta agricultural region.

In addition to financial relief for farmers, the AIADMK is protesting the government's handling of the Cauvery water dispute. The party has accused the administration of inaction regarding the Mekedatu project in neighboring Karnataka, arguing that the government has failed to protect Tamil Nadu’s rightful share of the river water, which is vital for paddy cultivation.
