AIADMK leader targets CM Vijay with remarks about actress Trisha

AIADMK leader R. B. Udayakumar has sparked controversy in Tamil Nadu by making sarcastic remarks regarding actress Trisha Krishnan and Chief Minister C. Joseph Vijay. During a political event in Thoothukudi, Udayakumar questioned when Trisha would be appointed as the state's Deputy Chief Minister, alleging that the Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam (TVK) government is appointing individuals close to the Chief Minister—specifically film industry associates—to various official positions.

Udayakumar cited several appointments, including a temple trustee, a special representative in New Delhi, and the head of a state film training institute, as evidence of favoritism toward Vijay’s former film colleagues. These comments have drawn strong backlash from Trisha’s fans and TVK functionaries, with a formal complaint lodged with the Tuticorin district police.

The incident follows recent tensions involving Trisha, who has been the subject of political remarks by other leaders. Following these developments, Trisha shared cryptic messages on Instagram, describing certain situations as “drama at this age” and expressing gratitude for her life, though she did not directly address the political controversy.
