Aichi-Nagoya Asian Games: China football draws while Chinese Taipei volleyball advances

At the Aichi-Nagoya Asian Games, the China women's football team drew 1-1 against Uzbekistan in their second Group G match. Head coach Milicic implemented significant lineup rotations, including leaving star player Wang Shuang out of the starting eleven. Milicic stated the decision was intended to provide more players with opportunities and to integrate fresh talent for future team development, noting the short two-day interval between matches.

In volleyball, the Chinese Taipei women's team has secured a spot in the quarterfinals after a strong group stage performance. Following victories against Kyrgyzstan and Mongolia, the team faced Thailand, the reigning Asian champions, in their final group match. Despite the loss to Thailand, the team's offensive and defensive displays have positioned them to face Japan in the upcoming quarterfinal round.
