AIDA Cruises rebrands transoceanic voyages as Auszeitreisen

AIDA Cruises has announced that its former transoceanic voyages will henceforth be rebranded as ‘Auszeitreisen’ (Time-out voyages). These itineraries are characterized by extended periods at sea as ships transition between different operating regions.

Scheduled routes for autumn 2026 and spring 2027 include journeys through Western Europe, across the Atlantic, to Africa, and routes connecting the Caribbean to Germany. For example, the AIDAbella is scheduled to depart from Kiel for Barbados on October 25, 2026. Return journeys across the Atlantic to Northern Europe are set to begin on March 27, 2027, lasting between 22 and 29 days.

The AIDAperla will also perform Atlantic crossings during these periods, including stops at the Canary Islands. The company emphasizes that the onboard experience, including wellness, culinary offerings, and various workshops, is designed to make the transit period a central part of the holiday.
