AIDAbella cruise skips Bodø stop due to strong winds, adds overnight in Bergen

The AIDAbella cruise, which began its Norway itinerary on 19 July 2026, was scheduled to call at the port of Bodø on 30 July. Strong local winds made a safe approach impossible, and the ship aborted the landing at about 06:45 UTC. Passengers were informed and the vessel turned south, spending a sea day before extending its stay in Bergen. An unscheduled overnight stay was offered in Bergen, and the ship will depart the city on Friday afternoon at 16:30 to continue toward Kiel.

The change is part of a series of recent cruise disruptions in the region, with several operators adjusting routes or cancelling ports because of adverse weather conditions.
