Aidan O’Brien enters Futurity Trophy with three runners

Trainer Aidan O’Brien will field three runners in the £275,000 Group 1 Futurity Trophy at Doncaster this Saturday. The field of seven includes Noble Exhibit, the son of Frankel and winner of the Group 2 Beresford Stakes, who heads the betting. O’Brien’s other entries are Giant Sequoia and Sergei Diaghilev.

Other notable competitors include Karl Burke’s Burning Up, seeking compensation for a narrow defeat in the Royal Lodge Stakes, and Godolphin’s Al Hudaiba, who returns to Britain following a Grade 1 victory in North America. Andrew Balding will also compete with Gran Dia, a colt making a significant step up in class following a successful debut at Salisbury.
