Aiden, an 8-year-old boy, fights life-threatening heart complications

Aiden, an 8-year-old boy from Soltau, is fighting for his life at Charité Berlin following a series of severe medical complications. Born with a complex congenital heart defect as part of heterotaxy syndrome, Aiden faces multiple cardiac diagnoses, including a double-outlet right ventricle, an atrioventricular septal defect, and pulmonary valve stenosis. His condition is further complicated by asplenia and the atypical arrangement of his internal organs.

Since June 12, Aiden has undergone numerous surgeries and faced life-threatening challenges, including a septic shock caused by an Enterobacter cloacae infection and a critical aortic tear that required resuscitation. Despite recent efforts to close his chest cavity following prolonged VAC therapy, his condition has reportedly worsened. A GoFundMe campaign has been launched to support his ongoing medical battle.
