AIFF and AMM Foundation partner for grassroots football development

The All India Football Federation (AIFF) and the A. M. Murugappa Chettiar (AMM) Foundation have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to enhance grassroots football development in Tamil Nadu and throughout India.

The partnership aims to establish a structured framework for grassroots competitions, talent identification, and player progression. Under the agreement, the AMM Foundation will support the operation of grassroots tournaments, allowing young players to compete in organized environments.

A central component of the initiative is a Talent Identification and Pathway Plan. Players showing potential will be monitored and may be invited to AIFF Talent Winter and Summer Camps to train under experienced coaches. Additionally, the AIFF will conduct workshops in Chennai to train AMM Foundation scouts in official identification, evaluation, and monitoring methodologies to strengthen the local scouting ecosystem.
