Aigio school occupation leads to theft and vandalism investigation

Police in Aigio have solved a case involving theft, vandalism, and the disruption of services at a school complex during an occupation. The incidents occurred between October 1 and October 2, 2026.

Investigators identified three non-student suspects following an analysis of video footage and other evidence. The suspects allegedly caused extensive damage to both the interior and exterior of the facilities and broke into a laboratory at the School of Higher Vocational Training (SAEK) in Aigio, stealing laptops and other equipment.

During searches of the suspects' homes, police seized three laptops, along with their carrying bags and accessories, which were identified as the stolen items via their serial numbers. Legal proceedings have been initiated against the three individuals, and investigations continue to identify other involved parties.
