Aigio: Two teenagers attacked in violent assault

Two 15-year-old boys were victims of a violent unprovoked attack in Aigio, Greece, while walking near the local hospital. The incident involved two assailants, one an adult and one a minor, who arrived in a vehicle.

The confrontation began after a verbal altercation with the vehicle's passenger. The attackers proceeded to strike the teenagers with punches and kicks, and one victim sustained injuries from a knife. Witnesses and family members reported that the driver also attempted to run over the boys with the car.

A passerby intervened to assist the victims and helped transport them to a police station. One of the teenagers was treated at Karamanidaneo Hospital in Patras for superficial wounds and has since been discharged.

The Hellenic Police have identified the suspects, noting they have been involved in similar incidents in the area previously. Legal proceedings have been initiated, including charges for dangerous bodily harm, assault, threats, and weapons law violations. Additionally, a separate investigation has been opened regarding the potential negligence of the minor assailant's parents.
