AIGLE and Setchu launch collaborative collection at Paris Fashion Week

During Paris Fashion Week, the French outdoor brand AIGLE debuted its collaboration with Setchu founder and 2023 LVMH Prize winner Satoshi Kuwata, titled ‘AIGLE by Setchu’. The collection was presented in the historic gardens of the Musée Carnavalet.

The collaboration merges AIGLE’s 170-year heritage of rubber craftsmanship and outdoor functionality with Kuwata’s design language, which blends Savile Row tailoring with Japanese origami aesthetics. The collection draws heavy inspiration from fishing gear, incorporating multi-pocket designs, durable structures, and adjustable details into high-fashion silhouettes.

Key pieces include reimagined classic parkas and trench coats, as well as a standout thigh-high fishing boot (Cuissardes) featuring a large rubber bow. The collection utilizes A-line silhouettes and origami-inspired geometric folds to create a balance between functional utility and elegant, structured fashion.
