AIIMS Delhi Uses Blockchain to Fill 460+ Faculty Posts
The All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) in New Delhi announced the results of its recruitment drive for more than 460 vacant faculty positions, spanning Assistant Professor to Professor across over 50 disciplines at both the AIIMS New Delhi campus and the AIIMS‑CAPFIMS campus in Maidan Garhi. More than 3,200 candidates applied for 265 posts at AIIMS New Delhi and 199 at AIIMS‑CAPFIMS. The six‑month process, concluded on 5–6 July 2026, employed blockchain‑based digital technology: candidates’ marks were locked with one‑time passwords and a pre‑defined algorithm generated the final merit list, limiting human intervention to tie‑breaks. This technology ensured confidentiality, transparency and rapid declaration of results. The recruitment, described as one of AIIMS’s largest faculty drives, is expected to strengthen teaching capacity, patient care and research at the institute and sets a precedent for transparent hiring in India’s public sector.
