AIL Milano Monza Brianza marks 50 years of patient support

AIL Milano Monza Brianza held a commemorative event at the Istituto dei Ciechi in Milan to mark 50 years of activity supporting patients with onco-hematological diseases and their caregivers.

Since its founding in 1976, the association has focused on research and patient care. President Federica Fiorani emphasized the organization’s commitment to listening to patients' needs and providing timely responses. Key services provided through the ‘AIL Accoglie’ initiative include free accommodation in 21 ‘Case AIL’ facilities, which have provided over 240,000 overnight stays. Additionally, the association has facilitated 23,300 trips to medical appointments since 2013 and provided 7,000 psychological support sessions at the Istituto Nazionale dei Tumori and Ospedale San Raffaele since 2021.

The organization continues to collaborate with hospital hematology departments, researchers, and medical staff to support healthcare efforts.
