Aimee Bock Sentenced to Over 41 Years for Leading Minnesota Pandemic Fraud Scheme

Former Feeding Our Future executive director Aimee Bock was sentenced by U.S. District Judge Nancy Brasel to 41½ years in federal prison for heading a fraud scheme that siphoned roughly $242‑$250 million from the federal child‑nutrition program during the COVID‑19 pandemic.

Bock was convicted on multiple counts, including wire fraud, bribery, conspiracy and money‑laundering, and was ordered to repay about $243 million. The case involved dozens of shell companies and false claims that the nonprofit had served tens of millions of meals, when no such meals were provided.

The prosecution described the operation as the nation’s largest pandemic‑era fraud, leading to indictments of nearly 80 individuals, with more than 60 already convicted or pleading guilty. The scandal has spurred scrutiny of Minnesota’s oversight of taxpayer‑funded pandemic programs and attracted national media attention.
