Aimen Anwar retires from international cricket
Pakistan fast bowler Aimen Anwar has announced her retirement from international cricket with immediate effect, according to the Pakistan Cricket Board.
Anwar's eight-year international career included 37 T20I appearances and 8 ODIs. During her time representing Pakistan, she claimed 29 wickets in T20Is and 4 in ODIs. She was a member of multiple major tournaments, including the 2018, 2020, and 2023 ICC Women’s T20 World Cups, as well as the 2022 ICC Women’s Cricket World Cup in New Zealand. Her final international appearance took place during the 2023 Women's T20 World Cup.
Following her retirement from playing, Anwar is transitioning into a new role within the sport as a match referee, having recently made her debut in the National Women’s U19 Tournament.
