Aimilios Cheilakis criticizes ministers acting as influencers

Actor Aimilios Cheilakis has criticized the current political landscape in Greece, specifically targeting ministers who act as social media influencers. During an interview on the program ‘Chamoela kai pali’ on Friday, September 25, Cheilakis stated that it is inappropriate for ministers to focus on creating social media content, arguing that such behavior does not benefit the minister or their ongoing work.

Cheilakis also addressed his own political involvement, clarifying that he does not intend to run in the upcoming elections. However, he emphasized the importance of being an active citizen and expressing opinions, even if those views are perceived as being against the governing administration. He noted that the current political environment sometimes fails to create a space for smooth discourse, often labeling those who speak up as ‘systemic’ rather than allowing for genuine expression.
