AIMIM appoints Syed Abdul Hussain Anwar as General Secretary

The All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen (AIMIM) has announced several key organizational appointments to strengthen its leadership. AIMIM President and Hyderabad MP Asaduddin Owaisi appointed Syed Abdul Hussain Anwar as the new General Secretary, filling a position that has been vacant since the death of Syed Ahmed Pasha Quadri in February 2026.

Other significant appointments include Syed Mushtaq Ahmed as Joint Secretary and Mohsin Balala as Treasurer. Additionally, Abu Talha Amjed has been assigned to assist Samad Bin Abbad in managing party organizational matters. These changes are effective immediately.

During an event in Hyderabad, Owaisi also distributed 'All-in-One' study materials to 1,700 Class 10 Urdu-medium students through the Majlis Charities Educational and Relief Trust. He noted that the total expenditure for this year's educational assistance program is approximately Rs 65 lakh.

Addressing the gathering, Owaisi criticized the current administration, claiming the Ministry of Minority Affairs has been weakened under the Modi government. He expressed concern regarding the reduction and discontinuation of various scholarship and educational support programs intended for minority students.
