AIMS certifies 14 products for IPMX interoperability
The Alliance for IP Media Solutions (AIMS) has announced the successful certification of 14 products from eight manufacturers following its second IPMX Product Certification Test Event. Held from August 24-28 at the European Broadcasting Union (EBU) headquarters in Geneva, the event verified compliance with the Internet Protocol Media Experience (IPMX) standard.
Participating manufacturers included Bridge Technologies, Cobalt Digital, EvertzAV, ITDev, intoPIX, Matrox Video, Macnica, and PlexusAV. The testing process covered baseline IPMX requirements, uncompressed video and audio, the JPEG XS profile, the JPEG XS TDC profile mode, and HKEP and PEP capabilities.
IPMX is an open standard designed to extend SMPTE ST 2110-based media transport and NMOS-based control into sectors such as professional AV, live events, corporate media, and education. The certification program aims to provide an independent, repeatable process for verifying interoperability, moving away from informal plugfests to give buyers and integrators greater confidence in equipment specifications.
