AIONA raises 140 million yen for manufacturing AI agent REVY
AIONA, a Tokyo-based startup, has raised a total of 140 million yen to develop and expand its AI agent, REVY, designed to automate and support design processes in the manufacturing sector.
The funding consists of J-KISS type stock acquisition rights issued via third-party allotment, led by ON&BOARD, along with investments from GxPartners, Crest Skill Partners, and Mizuho Capital. Additionally, the company secured loans from Aichi Bank and Mizuho Bank.
REVY aims to facilitate ‘AI-driven design’ by utilizing technical documents, drawings, and the tacit knowledge of experienced engineers. The AI agent assists with tasks such as quality function deployment, selecting candidates for design reuse, conducting FMEA/DRBFM, and checking drawings for errors. The system is designed so that the AI prepares the necessary data and reasoning, while humans make the final decisions. This process also allows the AI to accumulate new knowledge from the decisions and justifications made during interactions.
AIONA plans to use the funds to strengthen its development structure and expand its workforce over the next year, moving from supporting individual design tasks to managing entire design processes.
