Aiper Scuba V3 utilizes AI for intelligent pool cleaning

Aiper has introduced the Scuba V3, a pool cleaning robot that utilizes artificial intelligence to improve cleaning efficiency. Unlike traditional pool robots that follow simple paths, the Scuba V3 uses a combination of a camera, dToF (direct time-of-flight) sensors, and AI algorithms to map the pool environment and plan optimal routes.

The device features a system called VisionPath, which allows the robot to recognize its surroundings, locate debris, and adjust its trajectory to avoid redundant movements. To function effectively underwater, the robot utilizes a green laser for its dToF sensors and employs microprocessors programmed with water's refractive index to ensure precise distance measurements despite changes in light speed.
