Air Algérie cancels planned Algiers-Delhi flight route
Air Algérie has withdrawn its planned direct flight route between Algiers and Delhi from its upcoming schedule. The service, which was originally slated to begin on October 25, 2026, will no longer proceed as previously announced.
The airline had intended to operate three weekly frequencies using its new Airbus A330-900neo long-haul aircraft. Despite the route being highlighted as a key part of the carrier's international expansion strategy, the company has retracted its request for authorization to serve the Indian capital.
While the route was publicly discussed in August 2026 by the Indian Ambassador to Algeria, Swati Vijay Kulkarni, as a means to facilitate travel between the two nations, no tickets had been made available for sale to the public prior to the cancellation.
