Air Algérie completes test flight for sixth Airbus A330neo
Air Algérie has reached a new milestone in its long-haul fleet modernization program with the successful test flight of its sixth Airbus A330-900neo. On September 16, 2026, the aircraft, registered under the temporary designation F-WWYF and destined for the Algerian registration 7T-VJG, completed a four-hour test flight circuit departing from and returning to Toulouse-Blagnac Airport in France.
The integration of this aircraft follows a steady delivery schedule that began in late 2025. Previous models, including those with special liveries such as ‘One Two Three – Viva l’Algérie’ and the ‘Official Carrier of the National Team’, have already joined the fleet. The addition of these A330neo aircraft is expected to increase passenger capacity by 70 to 120 seats on long-haul routes, improving service for seasonal flows and the Algerian diaspora.
A seventh A330-900neo is currently expected to be delivered before the end of 2026.
