Air Algérie expands capacity and launches European flight promotions

Air Algérie is expanding its operations and offering new promotional fares for international routes. The airline has announced discounted round-trip tickets to several European destinations, including France and Portugal. Specific promotional routes include Batna to Marseille, Biskra to Lyon, and Béjaïa to Paris-Roissy, with some fares starting from 19,000 DZD. A route from Algiers to Lisbon is also available at reduced rates.

In terms of market positioning, the airline is increasing its capacity across the African continent. For September 2026, Air Algérie plans to offer 756,627 seats, representing a 13.3% increase compared to September 2025. This growth places the carrier fifth in Africa by programmed capacity, trailing Royal Air Maroc, which holds the fourth position. Ethiopian Airlines remains the dominant leader in the region with over 2 million scheduled seats.
