Air Algérie resumes Doha flights and updates Montreal-Algiers travel options

Air Algérie has officially resumed flight reservations between Algiers and Doha, ending a seven-month suspension caused by regional security tensions and airspace restrictions in the Middle East. To mark the return to this strategic route, the airline has launched promotional fares for round-trip travel, valid for bookings made through October 31 for trips scheduled until March 2027.

In North America, travel options for the Montreal-Algiers route are shifting. While Air Algérie remains the only carrier offering direct flights between the two cities, Air Canada continues to facilitate travel via European hubs such as Paris, London, Milan, and Lyon, often utilizing Air Algérie for the final leg of the journey.

Additionally, Tunisair has introduced special promotional rates for the 2026/2027 season, offering round-trip flights from Montreal to Tunis starting at $1,216.81 CAD. These offers are intended to provide competitive alternatives for travelers, including the Algerian diaspora in Canada, looking to connect to various destinations.
