Air Algérie has officially opened reservations for a new long-haul service connecting Algiers' Houari Boumediene Airport to Shanghai Pudong International Airport. The inaugural commercial flight is scheduled to depart on October 26, 2026.

The airline will operate three weekly rotations using Airbus A330-900neo aircraft. Flights from Algiers (AH3082) are scheduled for Mondays, Wednesdays, and Saturdays, departing at 13:00 and arriving in Shanghai the following day at 10:00 local time. Return flights (AH3083) will depart Shanghai on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Sundays at 12:00, arriving in Algiers at 20:00 the same day.

Ticket prices for one-way flights from Algiers start at 64,887 dinars, while return trips from Shanghai start at 63,040 dinars. This expansion is part of a broader strategy to position the carrier as a hub between Africa, Europe, and Asia. Additionally, the airline plans to launch a new route to Delhi on October 25, 2026, with three weekly rotations.
