Air Arabia cancels flights to Russia amid airspace safety concerns

Air Arabia has canceled its flights to Russia, including scheduled services for October and December, according to reports from Russian travel agencies. The airline has reportedly offered customers full refunds for their bookings.

This move follows warnings from Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy regarding the increasing safety risks of using Russian airspace. Zelenskyy stated that the presence of drones in Russian skies makes the airspace “completely dangerous” for commercial aviation, though he emphasized that Ukraine does not intend to target civilian aircraft.

Other airlines have also been affected by these security concerns. Pegasus Airlines recently diverted several flights heading to Moscow and canceled dozens of others. Additionally, carriers such as Turkish Airlines, Flydubai, and Kuwait Airways have reportedly limited their connections to the region.
