airBaltic bondholders to vote on interest deferral and financing at Aug 3 meeting

Latvian national airline airBaltic will hold a bondholder meeting on 3 August at 15:00 via Zoom. The agenda includes deferring the interest payments scheduled for 14 August and 14 November, with the interest to be capitalised rather than paid in cash. The company also seeks to waive reserve‑account requirements and minimum liquidity thresholds for the two interest periods.

airBaltic is conducting a comprehensive review of its capital structure and plans to raise temporary financing to ensure sufficient liquidity during the restructuring. Bondholders will be asked to approve changes to meeting procedures, including reducing notice periods for new meetings from 21 to seven days, shortening quorum‑re‑call periods from 14 to three days, and adjusting quorum thresholds for special resolutions. The Latvian State Treasury will represent Latvia at the meeting.
