Air Cairo expands network with Graz-Hurghada flights and new East Africa hub

Air Cairo is expanding its flight network through new operational agreements and the development of a strategic hub in Hurghada. Starting April 1, 2027, the airline will operate direct flights between Graz, Austria, and Hurghada, Egypt, in cooperation with SunExpress Airlines. Under this arrangement, SunExpress will manage commercial responsibilities such as sales and marketing, while Air Cairo handles flight operations. The route will run weekly on Thursdays, with increased frequency during the summer season.

Additionally, Air Cairo is positioning Hurghada as a hub to connect travelers from Italy and other regions to East African destinations, including Nairobi, Mombasa, and Zanzibar. The airline aims to grow its fleet to 46 aircraft by the end of 2026 and continues to maintain significant connectivity between various Italian cities and Egyptian destinations such as Cairo, Luxor, and Sharm El Sheikh.
