AIR Campania hires 60 workers, expanding regional transport workforce

AIR Campania, the regional public‑transport operator owned by the Campania region, announced the recruitment of 60 new employees. From 1 September 2026, 45 drivers and 15 administrative staff will start work after completing administrative and health checks. The company also extended the competition rankings for another twelve months.

The new hires add to the 156 employees recruited through the 2024 public competition last year, bringing the total of recent hires to 216. Together with 85 workers transferred from the former urban‑bus operator in Benevento, the company's workforce will reach 1,347 employees. Since 2021, AIR Campania has hired 1,411 staff, 590 via public contests and 821 through absorptions.

“Continuing to invest in people supports our growth,” said AIR Campania’s sole administrator, Anthony Acconcia. “The expansion of services in Campania and Lazio strengthens our role as a leading TPL provider in Southern Italy, and the extension of the rankings lets us respond quickly to future organisational needs.”
