Air Canada Aeroplan and World of Hyatt unveil new point‑purchase bonus offers
Air Canada’s Aeroplan program is running a limited‑time promotion from May 14 to May 31, 2026 that adds a 90 % bonus to purchased points. Buyers can receive up to 950,000 points for a CAD $18,750 purchase, at a cost of about US 1.44 cents per point. The offer tiers grant a 40 % bonus for 4,000‑25,000 points, a 60 % bonus for 30,000‑60,000 points and the full 90 % bonus for purchases of 70,000 points or more, with a per‑transaction limit of 500,000 points during the promotion.
World of Hyatt is also promoting point purchases, offering a 20 % bonus on transactions of at least 3,000 points between May 14 and July 27, 2026. At the promotion’s maximum, members could buy 66,000 points (including 11,000 bonus points) for US $1,430, equivalent to 2.17 cents per point. The standard annual cap remains 55,000 points per account, with additional restrictions on point transfers and combined accounts. Both programs advise using credit cards that do not treat the purchase as a travel expense to maximize card‑reward benefits.
