Air Canada and Caribbean Airlines launch new nonstop routes from Toronto

New direct flight services have been launched from Toronto to international destinations, expanding travel options for Canadian passengers.

Caribbean Airlines has commenced its inaugural nonstop service from Toronto to Tobago. The weekly flight, which arrived at the ANR Robinson International Airport, eliminates the previous requirement for passengers to connect through Trinidad. Tobago’s tourism authorities have allocated TT$1.5 million to market this route to Canadian holidaymakers, aiming to bolster the island’s international connectivity via its newly opened East Terminal.

Separately, Air Canada has introduced the first scheduled nonstop link between North America and the Canary Islands, flying from Toronto to Tenerife. Operating twice weekly on Thursdays and Sundays through April 2027, the service utilizes Airbus A321XLR aircraft. Air Canada also plans to launch a weekly nonstop route from Montréal to Tenerife starting October 31.
