Air cargo industry expands with major trade fair and airline rebranding
The international air freight sector is seeing significant growth and strategic shifts. The Air Cargo Europe event, part of the transport logistic trade fair in Munich, is set to expand for its 2027 iteration. Occupying two halls totaling approximately 22,000 square meters, the event has seen a 7 percent growth in space and has already secured over 240 confirmed participants, including an increasing number of exhibitors from China.
Simultaneously, the Frankfurt-based airline Condor is repositioning itself as a cargo carrier following a fleet overhaul that includes the addition of 25 A330neo long-haul aircraft by 2031. Effective November 1, 2026, Condor will implement a new standardized branding scheme for its seven transport offerings. Using ‘move’ as an umbrella term, the new product names include ‘JUSTmove’ for general cargo, ‘moveCOOL’ for pharmaceuticals and healthcare, ‘moveFRESH’ for perishables, and ‘moveFAST’ for express services. Thilo Schäfer, Director of Cargo at Condor, stated that the rebranding is intended to allow for faster product identification and improved electronic booking processes.
