Air Force and George Washington compete in Navy Open water polo
The Navy Open water polo tournament at the United States Naval Academy concluded with notable performances from Air Force and George Washington University.
Air Force finished the weekend with a 3-1 record, including a Sunday sweep. The Falcons defeated Mount St. Mary's 17-13 and secured a 19-18 victory over George Washington in double overtime. Max Ellis recorded a career-high seven goals during the win against George Washington, supported by four goals each from Tom Leggett and Jack Richards.
George Washington University finished the tournament with a 3-2 record. The Revolutionaries earned victories against LIU (14-13), Iona (18-10), and Chapman (23-11). Their weekend included a loss to No. 12 Princeton (23-11) and a narrow double-overtime defeat to Air Force.
