Air Force football shuts out Duquesne 34-0 in season opener

The Air Force Academy football team opened its season with a 34-0 shutout victory against Duquesne at Falcon Stadium. The Falcons relied heavily on a dominant ground game, accumulating 431 rushing yards, the highest total in a season opener for the program since 2022.

Quarterback Liam Szarka recorded two rushing touchdowns, while Rocco Conti and Kemper Hodges led the rushing attack with 74 and 72 yards, respectively. Air Force established an early lead in the first quarter and extended it to 20-0 by halftime through Szarka’s rushing, a Kemper Hodges touchdown run, and two field goals by Carter Cremascoli.

The Air Force defense contributed two interceptions, recorded by Max Mustell and Korey Johnson, to maintain the shutout. With this win, the Falcons extend their season-opening winning streak to 20 games and improve to a 31-0 record against FCS opponents.
