Air France and Air Caraïbes announce Caribbean expansion

Air France and Air Caraïbes have announced significant expansions to their Caribbean flight programs scheduled for the 2026-2027 winter season.

Air France plans to deploy the Airbus A350-900 on routes from Saint-Martin’s Princess Juliana Airport to Paris-Charles de Gaulle starting February 1, 2027. The airline will offer up to 14 weekly flights using the aircraft, which features a premium cabin configuration designed for increased passenger comfort and reduced environmental impact, including a 25% reduction in CO2 emissions compared to previous generations. The service will also include free high-speed Wi-Fi for Flying Blue members.

Simultaneously, Air Caraïbes is strengthening its network from Paris-Orly to various Caribbean and South American destinations. This includes the resumption of the Paris-Orly to Saint-Martin (SXM) route on October 15, 2026, with two weekly flights operated by an Airbus A350. The airline is also increasing frequencies to Pointe-à-Pitre, Fort-de-France, and Cayenne, while expanding its presence in the Dominican Republic and the Bahamas.
