Air France celebrates 15 years of Paris-Cancún flight route

Air France is celebrating 15 years of continuous operations on the Paris-Cancún-Paris route, a connection that serves as a vital link for European tourism in Quintana Roo. During a commemorative event at the Cancún International Airport, Governor Mara Lezama Espinosa and Air France-KLM Director General in Mexico, Maarten Snijders, highlighted the strategic importance of the route.

France represents the second most significant source of European tourists for the Mexican Caribbean, trailing only the United Kingdom. The region receives between 230,000 and 250,000 French visitors annually. Furthermore, the Mexican Caribbean captures approximately 60 percent of all European tourists arriving in Mexico, totaling over one million visitors from the continent each year.

To mark the new operational season and the 200th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Mexico and France, the airline announced the reactivation of the season with three weekly direct flights from Paris-Charles de Gaulle. These frequencies are scheduled to increase progressively until reaching daily service starting December 14.
